Once a month, we will explore a different scientific topic during Super Science Saturday. Visitors on these days can drop by one of our classroom spaces to engage in demonstrations and hands-on activities with a Science Factory staff person or volunteer. Topics can range from astronomy to chemistry to marine biology, as well as a variety of other science areas. Super Science Saturday activities are free with admission, so bring your family and join in the fun!

Crazy Chemistry
Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29

After Thanksgiving, bring the whole family to the Science Factory for some cool chemistry fun! Make some oobleck, watch a chemical reaction that can make a film canister blow its top and find out some of the unusual properties of dry ice.

Under the Sea
Saturday, December 13

This Saturday, you do not need to travel to the coast to learn about the animals in the ocean. At the Science Factory, you can look at shells from around the world, see how bright colors can be a form of camouflage for fish and find out how much larger (or smaller) than you whales and sharks can grow.

Activities are included with museum admission.
